Jordan Lyndsay Joy-Peck, 30, of Springfield, Missouri is pleading guilty to just one count of theft despite the fact that she’s been accused from stealing from both the PTA and Girl Scout troop at Wanda Gray Elementary School.
The amount the former PTA and Girl Scout leader took is undisclosed, but part of the plea deal to keep her out of jail requires restitution of “about $2,500” to the PTA. At one point, she reportedly repaid missing Girl Scout funds with a check written on the PTA account.
The Springfield News-Leader reports that Judge Dan Conklin ordered her to spit out her gum at the start of the hearing. Sentencing is scheduled for September 26.
